Q: Do I need to have an appointment to try on wedding dresses?

A: Yes, to ensure that you receive the best possible level of service, we recommend that you book an appointment to ensure one of our bridal consultants are available to assist you.  We always welcome visitors to pop in and say hello but to ensure the privacy of our brides, our boutique won't be open to others during appointment times. Saturdays and weekend appointments are the busiest times and do book up sometimes weeks in advance. Be sure to plan ahead!

Q: How long will my appointment last? 

A: Love Ellie appointments normally last one and half hours, allowing lots of time for brides to try on a range of our beautiful gowns, but most importantly to relax and enjoy this exciting experience! 

Q: Will my appointment be private?

A: Yes! Once you have your appointment booked, you and your guests will enjoy exclusive use of the boutique and one to one styling consultation. 

Q: How far in advance should I shop for my wedding dress?

A: Most brides will start shopping for their perfect dress 1 year in advance of the big day! It can take anywhere up to 8 or 9 months for your dress to arrive to store once ordered, depending on the design and style. You should then give yourself up to 2 months for any alterations to be completed. For those brides with shorter wedding dates, do not worry! Our designers will offer a rush cut service on most of our dresses for a fee, to ensure you have your beautiful dress on time. 

Q: Will I need alterations and are they included in the cost of the dress?

A: Alterations are nearly always necessary to achieve the perfect fit with your wedding dress! The most common alterations include hem length, a bustle and additional tailoring to the bust or torso. Some brides will require extra nips and tucks on the hip and some will even use alterations to customize sleeves, straps, necklines etc. Alterations are an extra charge and will differ from dress to dress. We have wonderful seamstresses that we can recommend to you, who work regularly with our brides.  


Q: What do I need to bring with me to my appointment?


A: We recommend bringing a strapless bra and seamless white or nude colored underwear. These will allow you to better view the intended style, design and shape of a gown. 3.5 inch heeled shoes will be provided for fitting on with the dresses.


Q: Who can I bring with me to my appointment?


A: There is no limit to the amount of guests who can accompany you to your appointment, we have lots of seating available! However, you should ensure that the person or persons whose opinion you trust most is present, this is very important. Large numbers of guests can sometimes be overwhelming for the bride, so in general 2-3 guests is the perfect number. 


Q: What is the price range of the dresses you stock?


A: Our wedding dresses range from approx 1000 to 4000 euro. We will work closely with you to ensure you are comfortable with the price range of the dresses selected. We will often have samples to sell off the rack (to make room for more lovely dresses) for under 1000 euro so please call us on 0872158979 to inquire.
